Song of the Day: Gwen Stefani - What are you waiting for?

Time's up.. Glasto tomorrow!

I'm so excited today I can barely breathe. It's my second Glasto and I can't believe I'm going again this year. I don't even know where to start when I get there.. there's so much I didn't get to do last year because 700 acres is a fucking huge festie site and there never seems to be enough time *sigh*

I'm going in a big group of people. Me n Stu, Kath and Nick, Matt n Gwyn, Oz n Shed, and about half a dozen other assorted friends of the above will probably show up also. Camping together may be an effort.. we're getting there first tomorrow morning with Matt and Gwyn, so hopefully we'll have a big pick of the campsite.

Stuart's really excited. Although being English, he's never been and hearing me rave about it for the better part of six months has got him moving :) It will be nice to go together as a couple cos we have pretty similar taste in music.. and oh what music there is!

Bands I'm looking forward to seeing include Coldplay, The Thrills, The Killers, maybe Doves, Royksopp, Bloc Party, Babyshambles, Nine Black Alps, Athlete, Ash, The Coral, Magic Numbers, Kasabian, Keane, Interpol (!!!), The Subways, Razorlight, Garbage, The Bravery, The Kills, Van Morrison, Hard-Fi, Brendan Benson, Client and of course, my absolute all time favourite band the 'Stripes. The problem is, SO many of these fantastic acts clash :(

I can't wait to see what the Stripes play. A lot of the stuff off "Get Behind Me Satan" is absolutely brilliant.. but their old stuff can't be missed. Most especially I am looking forward to hearing Black Math, Fell In Love With a Girl, Hotel Yorba, Hypnotise, Offend in Every Way, I Think I Smell a Rat, Forever for Her (Is Over for Me), I'm Lonely (But I ain't that Lonely Yet), My Doorbell, The Denial Twist, Red Rain, Joelene.. well, pretty much fucking everything. I'd love to hear a b-side or two (Good To Me would be fantastic).. but then again, you can't beat the Seven Nation Army bassline... shit. Friday night will be The Killers followed by the White Stripes.. I couldn't come up with a better gig!

Back next Monday. Pictures and stories then. Adios!
